The Cardinal Health™ Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ Compression System is the next generation of the Kendall SCD™ Series. Designed to help prevent venous thromboembolism (VTE) events, the Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ System enhances blood circulation and treats pain and swelling related to venous stasis, supporting optimal outcomes as well as a comfortable patient experience.

Clinically proven technology

The Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ System provides a clinically proven¹ solution to help prevent VTE and treat pain and swelling related to venous stasis by applying customized intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) therapy.^1-5 Customizing the compression therapy helps patients receive more compression cycles over time, moving more blood, and ultimately reducing stasis.^6,7

The Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ System leverages proprietary Vascular Refill Detection (VRD) Technology along with the sequential, circumferential, gradient sleeve design to move more blood per hour than uniform compression to help prevent stasis.⁷ The combined capabilities of Cardinal Health™ Patient Sensing™ Technology and the Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ Therapy Tracker allow care teams to track true therapy time and overall therapy in up to six-day intervals, supporting optimal outcomes.

• VRD technology adapts to a patient’s unique vasculature by measuring venous refill time and adjusting cycle times accordingly
• VRD technology automatically assesses venous refill time every 30 minutes to continually customize compression cycles
• Sleeves compress the entire circumference of the leg to promote complete blood clearance⁷

• Controller
  Kendall SCD SmartFlow™ is designed to apply intermittent pneumatic compression to increase venous blood flow in at-risk patients, helping prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
• Sleeves
  Sleeves contain three chambers which inflate circumferentially in a clinically-proven pressure pattern, offering dequential, gradient, circumferntial compression and promoting more effective bllod clearance than single-chamber devices.7
• Tubing and connector
  Reusable tube sets and reversible push-release connector for ease of disconnecting tubes from sleeves and controller.
