Product Description
Lohmann & Rauscher Vliwasorb® Superabsorbent Wound Dressing, 8" x 8".

Superabsorbent polymers absorb many times their own weight in liquid and scarcely release any retained exudate, even under mechanical pressure. The wound edges are protected from maceration. Vliwasorb can be used to excellent effect under compression bandages.
Vliwasorb saves time and money thanks to fewer required dressing changes. Less frequent dressing changes allow wounds to rest longer. The absorption and retention of microbes in the wound dressing reduces the risk of infection.
The absorption of exudate, slough and debris aids in wound cleansing and the moist wound environment promotes wound healing.
Fields of application:
- wounds with high levels of exudate
- superficial wounds during exudation phase, e.g.:
- arterial and venous ulcers
- burns and scalds (3rd degree: following surgical debridement)
- postoperative wounds healing by secondary intention
- laparotomy wounds
- fistulas

- Hygiene-related products, including but not limited to undergarments, stockings/hose, ostomy/urostomy products, hernia belts, impotence pumps and parts, pessaries, pads, compression stockings/sleeves, hand sanitizers, wipes, toilet paper
- RESPIRATORY PRODUCTS. Due to Covid-19, all respiratory products are non-returnable.
- Products that are not in resalable condition
- Final sale or clearance items / Special order items
- Skin salves, ointments, creams, gels, lotions and wound care (bandages, dressings, etc)
- All IV/Blood collection, needles and syringes, feeding tubes and accessories, etc.
