Nutricia North America PhenylAde® Essential Drink Mix, 1 lb Can, Unflavored

A phenylalanine-free, powdered formula for the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) available in 5 great tasting flavors for children, teens and adults.

A phenylalanine-free, powdered medical food containing a balanced mix of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates (including fiber), fat (including DHA and EPA), vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

• Provides 1.5 g of soluble fiber per serving.
• Complete with essential vitamins and minerals.
• Available in Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Orange Creme or Unflavored.
• Suitable for individuals over 1 year of age and must be used under medical supervision.

Directions for Use:

1. Simply add 40 g powder (approx. 1/4 cup, level and unpacked) to approx. 7 fl oz (210 mL) of cold water. Dilution may be adjusted to personal taste. For greater accuracy use a gram scale.
2. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and shake until fully blended.
3. Best served immediately

Do not heat, bake or add to food or beverages above 130°F.

Storage:

Store unopened cans in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Avoid extreme temperatures. Once a can is opened, reseal with lid provided and use within one month.

Must only be used under medical supervision. For oral or tube feedings. Not for parenteral use. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only suitable for individuals over 1 year of age with proven phenylketonuria (PKU).
