Nutricia North America PhenylAde® MTE Amino Acid Blend, 1 lb Can (454 g), Unflavored
A phenylalanine-free, powdered formula for the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) for children, teens and adults.
A phenylalanine-free, powdered medical food containing a balanced mix of essential and non-essential amino acids.
- Add to your choice of flavored beverage, foods low in protein or other PKU formula.
- Contains added select Minerals and Trace Elements.
- Only 41 calories per 10 g PE serving.
- Suitable for individuals over 1 year of age and must be used under medical supervision.
Directions for Use:
- Simply add 13 g powder (approx. 1 Tablespoon, level and unpacked) to 5 fl oz (150 mL) of a flavored (protein-free) beverage or other PKU formula. Dilution may be adjusted to personal taste. PhenylAde MTE Amino Acid Blend can also be added to foods low in protein. Not intended to be added to plain water. For greater accuracy, use a gram scale when measuring powder.
- If adding to a liquid, cover with a tight-fitting lid and shake until fully blended. If adding to foods, stir gently until the powder is combined.
- Best served immediately
Do not heat, bake or add to food or beverages above 130°F.
Storage:
Store unopened cans in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Avoid extreme temperatures. Once a can is opened, reseal with lid provided and use within one month.
Important Notice:
Must only be used under medical supervision. For oral or tube feedings. Not for parenteral use. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only suitable for individuals over 1 year of age with proven phenylketonuria (PKU). Must be combined with an appropriate vitamin & mineral supplement when taken as the sole source of PKU medical food.

To be eligible for return, your item must be unused/unopened, contain all original parts and accessories, and in the original packaging material in which you received it.
Certain items are not eligible for return. The non-returnable items include:
- Food and nutritional items. This includes all enteral feeding supplies.
- Bathroom safety equipment, i.e., toilet frames, toilet seats, shower chairs, transfer benches, rehab shower commodes
- Mobility equipment and mobility equipment replacement parts, i.e. batteries, wheelchairs, wheelchair cushions, seats, rollators, walkers
- Hygiene-related products, including but not limited to undergarments, stockings/hose, ostomy/urostomy products, hernia belts, impotence pumps and parts, pessaries, pads, compression stockings/sleeves, hand sanitizers, wipes, toilet paper
- RESPIRATORY PRODUCTS. Due to Covid-19, all respiratory products are non-returnable.
- Products that are not in resalable condition
- Final sale or clearance items / Special order items
- Skin salves, ointments, creams, gels, lotions and wound care (bandages, dressings, etc)
- All IV/Blood collection, needles and syringes, feeding tubes and accessories, etc.
